Iliana Papadimitriou is a Greek-British artist based in Oslo working with ceramic sculpture, scent, and installation. Her practice explores liminality through porous materials that absorb, hold, and release volatile compounds, treating scent as both physical substance and conceptual carrier.
Working across ceramic, wax, minerals, and aromatic materials, she creates sensorial works that extend beyond their solid form into surrounding airspace. These installations investigate memory, identity, and transformation as material processes, emphasizing permeability between body, object, and environment.
Her work has been recognized by the Norske Kunsthåndverkere Student Prize (2025), with large-scale permanent public art commissioned for the Oslo Municipality Art Collection ('Reflections', Furuset Torg Nord, 2026).
