Large Scale Ceramics

Given the unique opportunity to fire objects up to three metres tall at Oslo National Academy of the Arts Ceramics Department, I teamed up with Aasa Gravdahl and Maja Vestergaard to set up a large scale ceramics course for our year group. Together we arranged, organized, and brought the course to fruition, eventually collaborating with the Erasmus CRAFT Project.

The Erasmus CRAFT Project representatives for the institution (Trine Wester & Gunnhild Vatn) enabled us to secure materials, teaching fees and documentation for the course. This was in exchange for presenting our filmed material as part of the international project. As a result, we gained 220 kg of clay per student, hired a tutor (Sofia Nomm), and employed a film crew (Tilde Wahl Hansen & Håvard Krogstad Johansen). 

Jenny Hamrell and I were externally nominated to be the focus students for the film. Our entire process was documented from October 2022 until completion.
